About the Author
Mollie Lyons has always enjoyed writing, and when she was younger, she wrote short stories for women’s magazines. However, it had always been an ambition of hers to write a novel, but work and family commitments robbed her of the time. Now, living alone and being pretty well housebound, she finally found the opportunity to concentrate on writing again. Though being a native of the north-east of England, Lyons has lived in West Yorkshire for many years and loves the place and its friendly people. In 2008, she moved to Sowerby Bridge to be near her son and his family and fell in love with the surrounding countryside. The author has panoramic views of the Calder and Ryburn valleys, and it is from these, and her love of all things Victorian, that she finds her inspiration. Her writing is directed, mostly, to those who like cosying up in bed or on the sofa and enjoying an easy-to-read story.
