Foreign Exchange Research Reveals New York As Bargain Destination For Must-Have Christmas Toys

London, UK (PRWeb UK) December 17, 2009

Research from the Post Office has revealed UK consumers heading to New York this Christmas could make the most of their travel money as a result of improved sterling dollar foreign exchange rates.

Foreign currency research from the Post Office shows that shoppers can take advantage of cheaper prices to save an average of 20 per cent when using their travel money to buy gifts in New York compared with London.

Mums and dads will be pleased to see their foreign currency going further on buying toys, with the foreign exchange research from the Post Office revealing a stark 27 per cent difference between toy prices in London and New York.

The top toy travel money saving in the Post Office Foreign Exchange research was found on a Rubik’s 360 puzzle, which was 48 per cent cheaper in New York than London. Transformers fans can expect to save 36 per cent on the Bumblebee Helmet. The new Barbie and The Three Musketeers doll can be bagged for 41 per cent cheaper in New York than if bought in London.

Savings are further amplified by sterling’s recent improvement against the dollar in foreign currency exchange rates, meaning UK visitors to the Big Apple can get better value for their travel money this Christmas.
