Simple Lighting Company Responds To Energy Saving Project

(PRWEB UK) 11 April 2013

It has been reported in This is Scunthorpe that North Lincolnshire Council is planning to introduce the light emitting diodes throughout a number of locations across the district to replace the conventional bulbs that are currently in place. The council trialled the lights on a number of residential streets in Brigg last year and then let the public share their opinions. The general consensus was that the new lights were a welcome addition to the area. Councillor Nigel Sherwood explained that using the new LEDs would help make significant savings in the authority’s electricity bill.

More than familiar with the benefits of LED lights, both in terms of quality and cost, the team at Simple Lighting provide a vast range of LED strip lighting and tape lighting for the home and garden. As such they were interested to hear news of yet another town making the switch to LEDs. A representative from the firm shares their thoughts on the matter.

“The fact that LEDs run cool and only lose around 20% of their energy to heat, as opposed to 80% is the main reason they help to save money. It is also what makes them more environmentally friendly. Whereas LEDs used to be reserved for indoor use, they are now starting to be introduced in more outdoor situations.”

Established in 2009, Simple Lighting Company aims to provide high quality lighting at some of the most competitive prices on the web. The company has grown considerably in recent years and supplies over 4000 products, specialising in LED lighting, LED tape, LED strip lights as well as indoor and outdoor lighting. Simple Lighting Company considers customer service its priority, regularly adding new products to the website.
