Simple Lighting Company Responds to M&S LED Replacement

(PRWEB UK) 16 April 2013

It has been reported in Lighting.co.uk that Marks and Spencer worked alongside Phillips and building contractor, Beatty Engineering services (BBES), to undertake the installation work. M&S will be working with BBES again in the second phase of the project to install intelligent lighting controls in the stores. Project Manager, Steven Palmer explains that “the new LED lighting is expected to make a significant impact in helping to reduce Marks and Spencer’s non-merchandising lighting costs.

By 2015, Marks and Spencer’s wider aim is to reduce energy usage in its stores, offices and warehouses by 35% per square foot.

Providing a wide selection of LED home and garden lighting online, the team at Simple Lighting are often approached by customers searching for energy efficient products for their home. A representative shares their thoughts on the benefits of switching to LEDs.

“Through making the transition to LED lights, customers are not only getting a better quality of light, but saving money on their electricity bills and helping the environment. There is more pressure being placed on companies to cut down on their energy emissions, and we’re pleased to see that Marks and Spencer is taking action. Having LEDs endorsed by such a big name is good news for the industry.”

Established in 2009, Simple Lighting Company aims to provide high quality lighting at some of the most competitive prices on the web. The company has grown considerably in recent years and supplies over 4000 products, specialising in LED lighting, LED tape, LED strip lights as well as indoor and outdoor lighting.
