Spain remains top destination for UK nationals buying property abroad

London, UK (PRWeb UK) January 20, 2010

Recent research has revealed that sunny Spain has maintained its position as the number one destination for UK nationals buying property abroad, ahead of France, Portugal, Turkey and Bulgaria. Falling property prices could be a factor in Spain’s ongoing popularity, with the average house price in February 2009 falling to £211,343 compared to £235,223 12 months earlier.

The Post Office understands that those considering buying property in Spain need an easy and secure way to send money abroad through an overseas bank transfer.

To help ease the process of sending money abroad when looking to purchase a new property, the Post Office has introduced a new service to take the stress out of arranging international bank transfers, as well as save money.

The Post Office Overseas Property Money Transfer service enables customers to make international bank transfers with zero per cent commission, whereas many UK high-street banks typically charge commission fees when sending money abroad . As well as large one-off payments the service is ideally suited to monthly international money transfers, such as foreign mortgage payments.

For those relocating to a new country, making international bank transfers to an overseas bank account quickly and easily can be extremely helpful. Overseas money transfers are often essential when securing purchases for a second property, such as renovation work.
